Exploring the impact of wet markets and their importance to the working class of Hong Kong.
The Chinese characters on the side of the graphic tells ‘The Carp that jumps the dragon gate’ , a traditional idiom based off a Chinese folk tale, rooted in the ideologies of becoming a better version of one’s self, through everlasting perseverance and courage; whilst upholding the symbolism of prosperity and fortune that is tied with fish in many East Asian cultures.
